A resident reached out to me today asking for clarification on whether they now lived in Ward 5 or Ward 3. This is usually one of the first things I let people know about when door-knocking, but this resident wasn’t able to make it to the door when I came around.
This was their question:
I received your pamphlet in my mail box as my rep running in ward 3. Thank you for this.
In checking the internet I think I am in ward 5.
Can you please clarify. My address is [along] Grenfell Drive.
Put simply, if you live in the green part of the map below, you currently do live in Ward 5, but the boundary change means that you now live in Ward 3, for all intents and purposes.
So, if you live within the boundaries shown below, then you’ll be voting for your Ward 3 City Councillor (not Ward 5) in the upcoming Municipal Election on October 26, 2026 .
A text version of these bounds are:
- East of Adelaide Street North
- North of Fanshawe Park Rd E
- West of Highbury Avenue North
- South of London’s Urban Growth Boundary (the furthest street north is Springridge Drive)

I’ve chatted a few times with people about this while out canvassing a have received similar messages, so I think it’s time to clear things up for a select few Londoners who were in Ward 5, but are now part of Ward 3. Welcome, by the way!
I hope that by posting this publicly it helps more people! So, here was my reply:
Hi [resident], thanks for reaching out for clarification!
Yes, you are currently in Ward 5, however, as of this upcoming election (October 26, 2026) you will be in Ward 3 (instead of Ward 5). Therefore your votes will be for the Mayor, Trustee, and your Ward 3 City Councillor.
As an aside, your current Ward 5 Councillor (Jerry Pribil) won’t be running for office again.Here are three resources for you to look over, because maps are often more helpful than words:
- A google map of the new ward boundaries.
- London’s official Ward Boundary Review web page.
- London’s ArcGIS map of the new ward boundaries (this can be a bit heavy to load on certain devices).
